Our little house is moving right along! We have a roof and windows and doors. Even siding! It’s just sitting there looking all housey. We still have another 2 months worth of long nights and hard work but it sure is looking like our home a little bit more each day. We even went out and put our stamp on it last weekend.
God is the foundation of our family and he will always be the foundation of our home. So we decided to put it in writing. I grabbed a few sharpies and some scripture and we got to work.
Even Z got to pitch in. However, we made it very clear this is a one time only opportunity to draw on the walls!
Here are some of he verses we used…
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. – Matthew 7:24
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. – Joshua 24:15
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. – Colossians 3:12
For this child I have prayed. – 1 Samuel 1:27

Even though we have had a rocky start (to put it lightly) to building our home, we are reminded that we can stand solid on the foundation of God!
And check out our sided house!!
